I recently saw a challenge by LinkedIn influencer Sara McCord where she asked ChatGPT two questions about herself and posted the results. I tried the same thing and it gave me a shockingly accurate summary about my career and even my personal life:

She is currently studying cybersecurity at Grand Canyon University (GCU) and is active in various cybersecurity initiatives. Howell has gained recognition for her involvement in open-source projects, bug bounty hunting, and her role as a cybersecurity intern at Cisco Systems (GitHub) (GCU News).
  • Megan is known by her handle “cyberqueenmeg” on platforms like GitHub, where she contributes to several projects related to information security. Her work includes developing tools for cybersecurity and participating in bug bounty programs, showcasing her skills in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in software systems (GitHub).
  • Moreover, Megan has been involved in educational outreach, such as speaking at the Girls in Cyber event at GCU, where she shared her experiences and insights with high school and junior high students, inspiring the next generation of women in cybersecurity (GCU News).
  • Megan has received several accolades in the field, including being named a 2021 National Cyber Scholar and receiving national honorable mention from the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT). She has earned certifications from GIAC, ETA, TestOut, and Microsoft, underscoring her expertise and commitment to cybersecurity (CyberQueenMeg).
  • On a personal level, Megan Howell has a connection to animal rescue efforts in Arizona. She is part of the Howell family from Phoenix, which has adopted several special needs dogs through the Beagle Freedom Project. Their story highlights their dedication to providing loving homes to animals that have faced significant hardships, including Chi Chi, a therapy dog with a significant social media following due to her inspiring recovery and role as a therapy animal (Beagle Freedom Project)

Question 2: “What can someone hire Megan Howell for?”
- Megan Howell can be hired for various roles in the cybersecurity field, as well as in educational and speaking engagements. Here are some specific areas where her expertise could be utilized:

  1. Threat Analysis: Megan has experience as a Threat Analysis Intern for the Arizona Threat Intelligence Support Unit, making her well-suited to identify, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
  2. Cloud Penetration Testing: She has worked as a Cloud Penetration Testing Intern at Cisco, providing her with expertise in testing and securing cloud infrastructures.
  3. Bug Bounty Hunting: As a freelance bug bounty hunter, Megan specializes in finding and reporting security vulnerabilities in web applitions, helping organizations improve their security posture.

I found it interesting that ChatGPT called out that I could be helpful in Software Development with a Security Focus, as that was not something that was on the top of my radar before. I invite all of my connections to try this challenge and post their results!
